Josh Meetze joined the Marine Corp straight out of high school in 2009. His specialty was locating and disarming IEDs. While serving in Afghanistan in 2010, he was injured when he stepped on an IED. The blast left him with a spinal injury, a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and internal injuries. Josh’s injuries have caused him to be hunched over and he cannot stand up straight. He uses a walker to get around. He now has a hand bike he uses often to strengthen his upper body.
He was medically discharged from the Marines in August 2013.
Josh purchased a home and is pursuing college courses. He loves working on his Mustang that he keeps in perfect condition. He is also pool shark so don’t try and take him on for a game! Josh is in the process of building his own specialized computer. One of the ways JCS/Nashville was able to help Josh was to help him out with the components. He is definitely a very talented computer expert and is working hard to put it all together.
He is a great young man and we are proud he is one of our JCS/Nashville heroes.
