Joshua Chamberlain Society’s Concert Benefiting Local Combat Injured Heroes
April 5, 2018
Joshua Chamberlain Society invites you to its fourth annual Concert Benefiting Local Combat Injured Heroes. This year’s headliner will feature Irlene Mandrell, who holds a star on the Country Music Walkway of Stars in Nashville, Tennessee. Irlene, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, is the youngest sister of the world famous country trio, The Mandrell Sisters. Though music has always been the Mandrell Sisters’ mainstay, Irlene has enjoyed an extraordinarily varied career as an actress, model, and performer.
Her latest album “Thanks To You” is dedicated to all who have served and are now serving in the military, Law Enforcement Personnel, First Responders, and everyone else who is dedicated to keeping our country safe and free. Words of gratitude as simple as “Thank You” are often forgotten in these entitled times that we live in. People often take a lot for granted, such as our freedom or how lucky we are to live in a country where people are brave enough to put their lives on the line to ensure our safety. Her newest album, not only relates to what Joshua Chamberlain Society is all about, but is also a reminder to all of us that freedom isn’t free, and to be thankful for those who give everything to fight to keep our country free.
The Joshua Chamberlain Society operates year round with a staff of volunteers that receive no compensation for their tireless efforts to raise money for combat injured heroes and their families in Middle Tennessee. What makes the Joshua Chamberlain Society so unique is the fact that each of the injured heroes they adopt, they adopt for life, with non-stop, endless support to them and their families. Show your patriotism by joining us for a fun night filled with celebration, gratitude, and music as we honor those injured in combat.
