A benefit was held Saturday September 9 at the Arnold VFW Post 2593. With an attendance of more than 250, the mostly Cleveland High School alums, danced, took 50/50 and raffle chances and bid on Silent Auction items to raise money for the Joshua Chamberlain Society.
Through the efforts of the SSGT Ron Bozikis Memorial Organization a pledge has been made to keep SSGT Bozikis legacy alive and to help area veterans in need. SSGT Ron Bozikis was a graduate of Cleveland High School and a much decorated Green Beret who paid the ultimate sacrifice. SSGT Bozikis was KIA in Vietnam one week before the end of his enlistment.
